I am unspeakably proud to have shot the cover for the Georgie James debut record ‘Places’
As I travel with them from town to town I realize that being apart of the visual presentation of their music redefines what photography means to me personally.
This shot was more or less an accident. The tapestry seen in the photo was found on the floor of the studio in a place where we were clearly not supposed to be snooping around.
My first instinct was not to use it for fear that it belonged to someone who was protective of this beautiful fabric.
Ultimately it is one of the happiest accidents of my photographic life. It came to represent the stark, direct and honest mood of the record.
